Who we are

Red In Circle Association is a Lebanese non-governmental, non-profit association. It is responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

This policy applies to the association’s website, redincircle.org, and to its online donation site, donate.redincircle.org.

Contact form

When you write to the association through the contact form on the website, it receives your name, your email address, the subject if you provide one, your message and the language of the page.

Your message is sent by email to the association’s mailbox so that it can reply to you. It is not stored on the website.

Donations

Your card details are entered only on the secure payment page of the association’s acquiring bank, provided by Mastercard Gateway with 3-D Secure authentication. The association never receives or stores your full card number, expiration date or security code.

When you make a donation, the association collects the following information:

• Your full name and email address, which are required for the receipt
• Your phone number, if you choose to provide it
• Your country, preselected from your location and editable
• The amount, the cause, the language used and whether you chose to remain anonymous
• A note to the association, if you choose to write one
• The payment status, the card brand and last four digits, and the bank’s transaction references

Use of donation data

The association uses donation data only to:

• Process your donation and send your receipt
• Send you the emails related to your donation
• Keep the association’s accounting records
• Answer your questions
• Prevent fraud

Emails

After a donation, you may receive a receipt, a notice if a payment did not go through, and a refund confirmation where applicable. No marketing or newsletter emails are sent as a result of a donation.

These emails never include your name or card details, because an email address is not verified and could be mistyped.

Technical data and cookies

Your IP address is used momentarily for security purposes, such as limiting repeated requests and blocking automated traffic. It is not stored with a donation. The donation site also uses it to determine your country and preselect the country field.

Pages are served through Cloudflare. Where it is enabled, Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies and without tracking individual visitors.

The sites set no advertising or tracking cookies. The bank’s payment page and the bot protection service may set cookies that are strictly necessary for them to work.

Sharing and service providers

The association does not sell or rent personal data, and does not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Personal data is processed on the association’s behalf by the following service providers, which may process it outside Lebanon:

• Cloudflare, for hosting, security and bot protection (Turnstile), the donation database and email sending
• The association’s acquiring bank and Mastercard Gateway, for card payments
• Sanity, for managing the website’s content, which holds no donor data

Storage and access

Donation records are stored in the donation site’s database, hosted by Cloudflare. Encrypted backups are made every night and kept for up to one year.

Only authorized members of the association’s team can view donation records, through a protected administration area.

Retention

Donation records are kept for as long as the association’s accounting and legal obligations require. Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to answer them.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to its use, by writing to info@redincircle.org.

Records that the association must keep for accounting purposes are retained, but they are no longer used for any other purpose.

The association processes personal data in accordance with Lebanese Law No. 81 of 2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data.

Changes and contact

The association may update this policy from time to time. The date of the latest update is shown on this page.
