Donation terms
These terms govern online donations to Red In Circle Association made through donate.redincircle.org. Please read them before making a donation.
Who we are
Red In Circle Association is a Lebanese non-governmental, non-profit association founded in 2014 and based in Lebanon. It supports families across Lebanon through food assistance, education, health, women’s empowerment, humanitarian relief and community programs.
In these terms, “the association,” “we” and “us” refer to Red In Circle Association, and “you” refers to the person making a donation.
Scope
These terms apply to donations made on donate.redincircle.org, the association’s online donation site. Donations made by any other means are handled directly with the association and are not covered by these terms.
By submitting a donation, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms, the Refund policy and the Privacy policy.
Making a donation
On the donation form, you choose an amount and a cause, or choose to give where it is needed most, then enter your details. Online donations are one-time gifts in US dollars, paid by Visa or Mastercard.
You then continue to the secure payment page of the association’s acquiring bank, provided by Mastercard Gateway, where you enter your card details and complete 3-D Secure authentication with your card issuer. The association never receives or stores your full card number, expiration date or security code.
When the payment is approved, a confirmation page with a printable receipt is displayed and a receipt is sent to your email address. If the payment does not go through, you receive a notice by email.
Amounts and fees
The minimum and maximum amounts for each donation are shown on the donation form. Each donation is charged once, and recurring donations are not available online.
You may choose to add the processing fee to your donation so that the full amount of your gift reaches the cause. This option is shown on the form before payment.
Donations are charged in US dollars. Your card issuer may apply currency conversion or foreign transaction fees, which are outside the association’s control.
Your information
You agree to provide accurate and complete information, including your full name and a valid email address, which is required for your receipt. You confirm that you are the cardholder or are authorized by the cardholder to use the card.
If you choose to keep your donation anonymous, the association will never name you publicly as a donor. Your details are still kept in its records for accounting purposes.
The association handles your personal data as described in its Privacy policy.
Use of donations
A donation is a voluntary gift and does not purchase any goods or services. It is used for the cause you select, or where it is needed most if you choose that option.
If the selected cause is fully funded or has ended, the association uses your donation for the closest related need or where it is needed most.
Receipts and taxes
Each completed donation has a receipt number in the format RIC-YYYY-NNNNNN and a donation reference in the format D-YY-XXXX-XXXX, both shown on the receipt. Please keep the donation reference, as it is needed for any question or refund request.
The receipt confirms that the association has received your donation. It is not a tax receipt for other countries, and the association does not guarantee that donations are tax-deductible outside Lebanon.
Refunds
Donations are voluntary and generally final. A donation made by mistake or without the cardholder’s authorization may be refunded under the conditions set out in the Refund policy.
Fraud prevention
To protect donors and the association, the donation site uses automated bot protection and limits the number of requests that can be made in a short period.
The association may refuse, cancel or refund any donation that appears fraudulent, such as a payment made with a stolen card.
Liability and governing law
To the extent permitted by law, the association’s liability in connection with a donation is limited to the amount of that donation. The association is not responsible for fees charged by your card issuer or for interruptions of payment services beyond its control.
These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon. Any dispute relating to a donation that cannot be resolved amicably falls under the jurisdiction of the competent Lebanese courts.
Changes and contact
The association may update these terms from time to time. The date of the latest update is shown on this page, and the version in force on the date of your donation applies to it.
For any question about these terms or a donation, contact the association at info@redincircle.org, or by phone or WhatsApp at +961 79 373 582.
